Join fellow Cyclones for the annual Cyclone Welcome Weekend, Aug. 21-23, for a set of free, fun, community-building activities for all new and returning students. This year’s events have been planned in collaboration with Destination Iowa State, the signature event for first-year and transfer students organized by New Student Programs.
Over 200 volunteers are needed for shifts on Thursday, Aug. 21, Friday, Aug. 22 and Saturday, Aug. 23. Please see the informational pdf for information about volunteer requirements.
Welcome Weekend volunteers will see the return of popular activities like the Saturday morning G.O.A.T. breakfast, along with new events in partnership with the Department of Athletics, including a free exhibition game for the ISU volleyball team and an exclusive student-only game watch in Hilton Coliseum to cheer on the 21st-ranked Cyclone football team as they face No. 20 Kansas State in the Aer Lingus College Football Classic in Dublin, Ireland.
You can sign up for one or more shifts through the registration system. Volunteers will receive a free T-shirt and food and beverages during their shift(s). Adventure2 participants can earn 100 points following the completion of their service.
Thank you for helping with the success of Cyclone Welcome Weekend and Destination Iowa State!
