They are uniquely positioned to tackle these issues head-on, thanks to their team of partner agencies, strong coalitions, data experts, business supports, and dedicated volunteers.
Every donation matters
LAS wants to raise $35,000 for United Way in 2026. It’s easy to give! You may donate using Workday, a secure card transaction, or Venmo. To donate with Venmo, open the Venmo app, search for @UnitedWayStoryCo, and type in the amount you wish to donate (Pay). The last four digits of the Venmo account are 2045. Important: Please type #LAS_ISUCampaign where it says, “What’s this for?”.

Members of the LAS community who donate to United Way could win one of three $25 gift cards to one of these Ames businesses: Dog-Eared Books, Chocolaterie Stam, or Piece and Freedom Bakery. After donating, enter your name and email address into this Qualtrics survey. Please submit your entry by Oct. 15. Winners will be notified following the active campaign.
