Frontier Science Fund proposals due February 6

The Frontier Science Fund advances and accelerates high-risk, high-reward scientific research projects in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

Potential applicants are encouraged to reach out to Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Education Gustavo MacIntosh with any questions.

  • Eligibility: The proposal must be led by a LAS tenure-eligible faculty member (the Principal Investigator, or PI) in a science department.  Please see the call for proposals for additional details.
  • Award Amount: The College expects to fund approximately two proposals per year, for up to $50,000 per year and up to 2 years in duration.
  • LAS LOI Due Date: January 16, 2026.
  • LAS Proposal Due Date: Each planned Frontier Science proposal will be due February 6, 2026.
