Register for the fall Research and Innovation Roundtable

Whether you’re in applied or social sciences, humanities, engineering, or design, the Iowa State Office of the Vice President for Research (OVPR) invites you to bring your creativity and bold ideas to the Fall 2025 Research and Innovation Roundtable. This fall’s event will be conducted virtually and will offer faculty a unique opportunity to collaborate not only with campus colleagues but also researchers from Australia’s Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO).
WHEN: Thursday, November 6, 2025 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
WHERE: Virtual — via Zoom
RIR participants will engage in facilitated virtual breakout discussions and pitch project ideas to compete for seed funding support. Additional time for self-assembly and adding to project teams will follow the breakout discussions. Instructions regarding Requests for Proposals for those interested in forming a team looking for funding will be shared at the event and resulting proposals will be evaluated by the event facilitators and funded based on interest, relevance, and connection to the Iowa State University Strategic Plan.
