Gifts of all sizes make a big difference

The essentials of a good life are universal – a quality education leads to stable employment. Stable employment leads to steady income. Steady income supports a family’s health and wellbeing.

The 2025 LAS United Way campaign is underway, and your donation – no matter the size – can help ensure that these universal needs are met for many in our community.

LAS wants to raise $35,000 for United Way in 2025. It’s easy to give! You may donate using Workday, a secure card transaction on the United Way page, or Venmo. To donate with Venmo, open the Venmo app, search for @UnitedWayStoryCo, and type in the amount you wish to donate (Pay). The last four digits of the Venmo account are 2045. Important: Please type #LAS_ISUCampaign where it says, “What’s this for?”.

Adorable pets!

This year, LAS is hosting a “Picture-Perfect Pets” fundraiser through Oct. 15. The LAS deans have submitted photos of their pets, which are affixed to containers on the second floor of Catt Hall. All LAS employees are encouraged to stop by and cast a vote for their favorite pet photo by donating $1 in the corresponding container. You may vote as many times as you’d like! All proceeds will be donated to United Way. There are some unique pets, so check them out!

Added incentive

Members of the LAS community who donate to United Way could win one of three $25 gift cards to either Target, HyVee, or Fareway! After donating, simply enter your name and email address into this Qualtrics survey. The three gift card winners will be notified via email at the end of the campaign in mid-October.
