Hilary Deike promoted to position of Senior HR Partner for University Human Resources

Author: Troy Rutter

Following is an announcement from Dean Withers about a change in the LAS human resources partner role.

Hilary Deike, our LAS HR partner, was awarded a promotion, and has assumed the position of Senior HR Partner for University Human Resources. Hilary will oversee HR Partners from various colleges/divisions on campus.

Hilary has been a great asset to the college as we moved through significant change. Her professionalism and leadership helped the college implement consistent practices while also addressing the unique needs of our faculty, staff, and operating units.

As noted by Associate Dean Arne Hallam, Hilary’s professional skills were often exactly what we’ve needed in delicate situations – and in helping faculty and staff understand university policy as it applies to college and departmental situations. She has been a steadfast resource to leaders throughout the college, and her partnership will be missed.

Hilary will continue to fulfill her role as HR partner to LAS until a new HR partner is selected. In addition, she is the Interim HRP for the College of Health and Human Services and the University Library and will fulfil that role until a new individual is hired. She will split her time between her office in Catt Hall and a new office in Beardshear Hall. Your HR coordinators (Andrea Jensen and Meg Breitbarth) will continue to be your first point of contact.

LAS will share the news when a new HR partner is selected. In the meantime, please join LAS in thanking Hilary and her team for their continued excellent service and support.
