Advising structure shifts to meet needs of students

Author: Troy Rutter

LAS Advising recently made some changes to adjust for shifting enrollment and programmatic priorities. The communications and humanities units were combined into one unit. Jessica Hansen-Moench is the advisor for the new, combined communications and humanities advising group. This move creates five units that are more consistent in number of students/advisors, which helps balance workloads. Pat Johnson is now the unit advisor for the social sciences unit and Terry Kruse is moving to a role to work on college programming including new student orientation, pre-professional advising, the honors program, and college-wide retention projects.
