George Washington Carver Day of Recognition

CATEGORIES: Announcements

On February 1, Iowa State University will host a celebration of the State of Iowa’s first George Washington Carver Day of Recognition in the Great Hall of the Memorial Union from 5-7 p.m. Student attendance is encouraged at this event. For those willing to offer extra credit to students who attend in-person, the Lectures Program staff will scan student IDs at the end of the program, allowing faculty to easily access a list of students who attended. Faculty can sign up classes through the Lectures Program website: https://track.lectures.iastate.edu.

Please consider the following instructions to sign up your classes: https://www.lectures.iastate.edu/register-classes/instructions. The event will be live-streamed, recorded and posted on the Lectures website within three days. However, attendance cannot be tracked via the live stream or the recording. If you have questions about signing up your classes or the attendance tracking process, please email Amanda and Laura at lectures@iastate.edu.

While RSVPs are not required, organizers welcome faculty and staff planning to attend the event to RSVP online by Jan. 25.
