Two new opportunities to recognize faculty and staff are now available, within the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences awards program. Each year this program honors faculty and staff who have demonstrated their commitment to the land-grant ideals of learning, discovery and engagement.
The first award, the LAS Award for Inclusive Excellence, honors faculty, P&S and Merit staff, and teams who have advanced the college’s mission of diversity, equity, and inclusion through their teaching, scholarship, service, or campus-community outreach. It is consistent with the ISU Award for Inclusive Excellence, but also provides a unique opportunity to recognize teams.
The second award, the LAS Award for Impact on Student Success, recognizes outstanding achievement by staff and faculty who have had a sustained impact on undergraduate student success. The positive impact may be with individual students or a group of students inside or outside the classroom.
Deadlines to submit nominations for these LAS awards is December 1, 2022, and more details can be found on the awards section of myLAS, the college’s internal website.
