Iowa State University Environmental Health and Safety is conducting a radiological exercise on Wednesday, March 23, in partnership with the Iowa Department of Public Health and Iowa Department of Transportation Motor Vehicle Enforcement.
Federal, state and local agencies are participating in the exercise, which will include classroom training sessions and an outdoor exercise for firefighters using tablets and phones to gather simulated readings.
The outdoor portion of the exercise will take place Wednesday afternoon in the area of the Iowa State Center.
