The annual calendar highlights the positive impact of 12 women currently on the Iowa State campus. Selections are made by a committee composed of previous honorees, past nominators, students affiliated with the Catt Center, and staff and faculty members from across campus. When reviewing the nominations, the selection committee considers the nominees’ professional or academic achievements – depending on the nominee’s role at Iowa State – as well as their involvement in campus activities and mentoring.
The calendar is open to all individuals who identify as a woman, inclusive of cisgender and transgender identities. Faculty and staff must be employed by Iowa State University for the 2022 calendar year to be eligible for nomination. Students graduating in May 2022 may be nominated.
Funding for the calendar is provided by Iowa State’s Office of the Vice President for Diversity and Inclusion.Catt Center staff and student interns publicize and collect the nominations; organize and facilitate the review committee meeting; plan the recognition reception in January of each year; and design, order and distribute the calendars.
