All ISU students and employees can now schedule an appointment for a COVID-19 vaccine this week on Tuesday, April 27 through Friday, April 30.

No requirement to receive both doses on campus
Please note that we are now able to split up doses of the COVID-19 vaccine for students, faculty and staff with no requirement of both doses being received on campus. So, if you’re headed home for summer, you are able to get your first dose before you leave. And if you received your first dose off campus, you can now get your second dose at one of the vaccine clinics at State Gym.
Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson vaccines available
Both Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson vaccines will be available and you can select the type of vaccine while scheduling your appointment online. If receiving Pfizer you will need to receive your second dose in three weeks whether you are on campus or at another location.
On Friday, the CDC (Centers for Disease Control) and FDA (US Food and Drug Administration) lifted the pause in the use of the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine after completing their review. Given this information IDPH has also authorized use of the vaccine and Iowa State will resume distribution.
