Nominations due March 15 for departmental, college and university alumni awards

2020 College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Honors and Awards Ceremony
Help us nominate a talented and diverse group of LAS alumni and friends for the 2020 LAS Honors and Awards Program. The program was established to honor the outstanding achievements of alumni and friends of the college and to strengthen their life-long connection to the college. This year’s ceremony will take place on Thursday, October 15, 2020 at 5:45 p.m. at the Alumni Center.

Departmental Alumni Awards
For departmental alumni awards, it is up to the discretion of each dept / dept chair on how they decide who to honor. Please forward suggestions of any potential departmental alumni award recipients to Robyn Goldy well before March 15, so that she can add any appropriate supplemental information and forward on to the dept. chair. Dept. chairs must select their departmental honoree no later than March 15, 2020.

College Alumni Awards
Visit https://alumni.las.iastate.edu/awards/ to view the various award categories and the nomination process for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Honors and Awards. If you have a nominee for a college-level award, please complete the online nomination (https://iastate.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_1AleL24cfvy076B) by March 15, 2020.

ISUAA Distinguished Alumni Award:
The Distinguished Alumni Award, established in 1961, is the highest honor given to alumni by Iowa State University through the ISU Alumni Association. This award honors ISU alumni who are nationally and/or internationally recognized for preeminent contributions to their professions or life’s work. Please send Robyn Goldy any names for consideration for an ISUAA Distinguished Alumni Award nomination along with any appropriate supplementary materials by March 15, 2020.

ISUAA Honorary Alumni Award:
The Honorary Alumni Award, established in 1968, is the highest honor given by Iowa State University through the ISU Alumni Association to individuals who are not graduates of Iowa State University and who have made significant contributions to Iowa State’s welfare, reputation, prestige, and pursuit of excellence. Please send Robyn Goldy any names for consideration for an ISUAA Honorary Alumni Award nomination along with any appropriate supplementary materials by March 15, 2020.
