Iowa State University is pleased to be hosting the Society for Arts Entrepreneurship Education annual conference October 17-19, 2019. SAVE THE DATE!

Following is a “Call for Proposals” for research presentations, interactive workshops, and roundtables. Please consider submitting a proposal – or pass this along to others you know who may be interested in submitting a session proposal. The deadline for submissions is June 1!

The Sixth Annual Conference of the Society for Arts Entrepreneurship Education
October 17-19, 2019

Ames, Iowa

Educators, artists, program directors, students, and the curious are invited to participate in the sixth national meeting dedicated to arts entrepreneurship education. This conference will provide participants with opportunities to explore the intersections of business, the arts, and other disciplines in ways that enhance the teaching and learning of artistic enterprise. The Society’s inclusive atmosphere enables all participants to connect with colleagues concerning pedagogical methods and larger currents in the field. Call for Proposals

Session proposals should conform to one of three conference tracks:

  • Research: papers presenting original research on arts entrepreneurship pedagogy, theory, and/or practice, which adhere to established empirical practice
  • Professional Development: interactive, hands-on workshops designed to strengthen conference attendees’ skills in developing programs, establishing partnerships, utilizing new pedagogical practices, etc.
  • New this year! – Arts Entrepreneurship Sandbox – Idea Development: Discussions, panels, and roundtables for developing research, emerging ideas, harnessing trends and overcoming obstacles

The Society hopes to attract proposals from an array of contributors: faculty, staff, undergraduates, graduate students, working artists, community leaders, and anyone willing to share their experiences as an arts entrepreneur.

The deadline for proposal submission is 5:00 pm EST on Saturday, June 1, and notification will be sent by June 15.
