Eos Magazine, the leading source for trustworthy news and perspectives about the Earth and space sciences and their impact, has published an article that spotlights research from Steven J. Hall’s research group in the Ecology, Evolution and Organismal Biology (EEOB) Department.
The research on which the article was based, was conducted by Steven J. Hall, L. Reyes, W. Huang and P. M. Homyak at Iowa State University.
Read more about their original research, “Wet Spots as Hotspots: Moisture Responses of Nitric and Nitrous Oxide Emissions From Poorly Drained Agricultural Soils.”
The research group’s focus was the study of nitric oxide and nitrous oxide releases from agricultural soils. These gasses contribute to the greenhouse effect, global warming and ozone loss.
