Wallace E. Barron All-University Senior Award
The Iowa State University Alumni Association established this award in 1968 to recognize outstanding seniors who display high character, outstanding achievement in academics and university/community activities, and promise for continuing these exemplary qualities as alumni. The award is named for Wallace E. "Red" Barron (Class of ’28), who served as director of alumni affairs at Iowa State from 1937 to 1968. Awardees receive recognition and the Official Iowa State University Ring, compliments of the ISU Alumni Association. Applications and more information can be found here.
ISU STATEment Makers (alumni 32 years old or under)
The ISU Alumni Association is seeking nominations for the annual STATEment Makers, which recognizes ISU graduates ages 32 and under who have reflected the spirit of ISU by making a difference in their own lives or the lives of others. Alumni may be nominated for their accomplishments in the following categories: scholastic, career achievement, personal achievement, entrepreneurial spirit, and service. The STATEment Makers will be recognized in VISIONS magazine, YA Newsletter, and the ISU News Flash in the spring and summer, as well as on the ISUAA website year-round. Nominators are asked to select the nomination category that best fits the nominee’s accomplishments and to provide a brief description (500 words or less) of why this individual is “making a statement”. Once nominations are received, nominees will be notified and asked to provide additional information for selection purposes. Applications and more information can be found here.
