March 19: Nomination deadline for LAS alumni awards for Homecoming 2018

Help us nominate a talented and diverse group of alumni and friends for the 2018 LAS Honors and Awards Program. The program was established to honor the outstanding achievements of alumni and friends of the college and to strengthen their life-long connection to the college. The nomination deadline is Monday, March 19, 2018.

Nominations are being accepted for the:

Citation of Merit
Recognizes distinguished alumni who have demonstrated outstanding achievement and received national or international recognition.

Distinguished Service Award
Recognizes alumni, faculty and friends who have demonstrated outstanding service or academic contributions that further the educational mission of the college.

John V. Atanasoff Discovery Award
Recognizes alumni who have significantly advanced scientific knowledge.

Carrie Chapman Catt Public Engagement Award
Recognizes alumni who have demonstrated outstanding achievement for their work with public entities at local, state, national or international levels.

Dean’s Arts and Humanities Award
Recognizes alumni and friends who have enhanced appreciation of the arts and humanities at a local, state, national or international level.

Young Alumni Award
Recognizes alumni who are under 40 years of age and who have excelled in their professions and provided service to their communities.

Nomination Instructions

Award recipients will be recognized during the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Honors and Awards Ceremony on Thursday, Oct. 25, 2018. They will receive their awards on Friday, Oct. 26, 2018 at the Iowa State University Alumni Association’s annual Honors and Awards Ceremony. The ceremonies will take place during Iowa State University’s 2018 Homecoming Week celebration.
