A group of faculty and students are working on building a 1:5 scale replica of the campanile and a 27-bell carillon. This unique model will be the first of its kind. It weighs 3,000 pounds and yet will be able to travel from place to place. It will be available for everyone to play a tune and to see the mechanism of the bells without having to climb any steps. This model will be used at university events and outreach programs and as a musical instrument. For more infomration see the project website.
