Sept. 27: National Voter Registration Day

Register to vote on Sept. 27 in honor of National Voter Registration Day. Voter registration will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Pride Lounge of the Memorial Union and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. outside of Parks Library and in the dining rooms of both Maple-Willow-Larch and Union Drive residence halls. The four on-campus voter registration sites are sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Ames and Story County, the Story County Auditor’s Office and the ISU Student Government Presidential Task Force on Civil Engagement.

In addition, the County Auditor’s Office will also host voter registration in the Pride Lounge of the Memorial Union Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. the weeks of Sept. 26 through Sept. 30 and Oct. 3 through Oct. 7. The Auditor’s office will host absentee voting and voter registration in the Memorial Union, Pride Lounge Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. the weeks of Oct. 10 and Oct. 17. The Iowa Secretary of State’s office also offers online voter registration for citizens with a valid Iowa driver’s license. To register, you must have the last five digits of your social security number.
