Get Ready for The Career Fairs In order to prepare for the career fairs, remember to: · Make time for the career fairs by resolving scheduling conflicts. Ask if classes can be made up. Make adjustments to work schedules, if necessary · Bring copies of your perfected resume · Dress in business professional (a suit or other conservative, dressy outfit) · Research companies beforehand in CyHire (www.cyhire.iastate.edu/students) · Prepare a 30 second introduction with your name, degree, skills, and an intriguing question about the employer or fact about yourself If you need help preparing for a career fair or writing your resume, schedule an appointment with a Career Adviser on CyHire by selecting “Request an Advising Appointment” from the Shortcuts on your CyHire homepage.
