The LAS Speech Communication Program will host their annual debate Dec. 14 in the Campanile Room 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. featuring the top speakers from the LAS Speech Communication Program’s Argumentation and Debate course.
Each year, students in the class deliberate over which topics they will spend the rest of the semester arguing. They must settle on a local/state topic and a national/international topic. This year, the topic is whether or not the Board of Regents ought to extend ISU’s tuition freeze, and whether or not the U.S. federal government should significantly cut defense spending. Both topics will be debated on Monday. There is no fee to attend.
