How about shaking things up and snuggling up with a cup of tea and a good… academic article? From witches to zombies to giant pumpkins, Oxford University Press has unearthed the history of all things spooky in their creepy-crawly collection of thirteen of the scariest articles from OUP history journals.

Number five on the list: The Disenchantment of Magic: Spells, Charms, and Superstition in Early European Witchcraft Literature," published in the American Historical Review by Michael Bailey, professor and interm chair of the Department of History.
