Iowa African-American Hall of Fame recognizes students for leadership

Two outstanding ISU life sciences students, Grace A. Ansah, a junior in biology, and De’Airius D. Salibi, a sophomore in Food Science, received scholarships from the Iowa African-American Hall of Fame, an organization that recognizes the outstanding achievements of African-Americans who have enhanced the quality of life for all Iowans. Grace and De’Airius were recognized for their academic achievements and their records of successful leadership.

Professor Jo Anne Powell-Coffman, GDCB Department Chair, and Professor Clark Coffman, also of GDCB, were among the attendees of the Iowa African-American Hall of Fame (IAAHF) banquet and reception held on August 7, which also honored three 2015 inductees.
