Last week’s Career Fairs a success

Author:

A record number of employers attended last week’s two Career Fairs: The People to People Career Fair and the Business, Industry and Technology Career Fair.

More than 270 organizations attended to recruit students. Nearly 2,700 students attend the fairs.

“It was great to see a record number of employers actively seeking interns and full-time hires,” Taren Crow, Director of LAS Career Services, said. “Many employers have expressed that they were very successful in connecting with students. We’ve already heard of students having up to six interviews from employers they visited with at the career fairs.”

The next career fairs will be this fall, on Sept. 30. LAS Career Services provides interview prep, resume writing guidance, and help searching for jobs and internships at no cost to students and alumni. 93% of LAS graduates found a job, furthered their education or joined the military within six months of graduation. Thank you for sharing information about the Career Fairs with your students; we will provide more information as the fall date approaches.
