Windus named councilor to American Chemical Society division

Theresa Windus, professor of chemistry at Iowa State University and a scientist at the Department of Energy’s Ames Laboratory, was recently elected a councilor to the Physical Chemistry Division of the American Chemical Society. Councilors represent the division in the ACS Council, the deliberative assembly of the organization. Windus has a three-year term. The ACS is the world’s largest scientific society with more than 161,000 members.
