Kevin and Mollie Cooney have been honored as members of the Silver Circle Society by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences – Upper Midwest Chapter. Kevin and Mollie, news anchors for KCCI in Des Moines, are 1994 winners of the Iowa State Schwartz Award. They also were long-time members of the Greenlee Advisory Council.
The Silver Circle award recognizes "those who have worked in television more than 25 years and have made significant contribution to the industry well above and beyond that required by their job. The award also recognizes honorees that have the highest standards of integrity and honor in all aspects of their personal and professional lives."
The husband and wife anchor duo received their awards on Saturday, September 13 at Target Field in downtown Minneapolis.
