I want to thank all of the students in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and throughout Iowa State University for all the hours you have volunteered in planning for Veishea 2014. Veishea is an honored tradition at Iowa State, and we appreciate your dedication to the university. However, because of the events that took place early Wednesday morning, Iowa State clearly cannot go forward this year with the annual celebration. We know you worked hard, and we appreciate your commitment to Veishea and ISU, yet the safety of our students is our top priority. President Leath will appoint a task force to examine the future of Veishea. In the meantime, if you have questions or comments, feel free to email me at email@example.com.
Best wishes, Beate Schmittmann Dean
