ISU Theatre students, faculty and alumni are contributing to the first theatrical event at the Des Moines Social Club’s new Kum & Go Theater beginning Valentine’s Day at 7:30 p.m. Assistant prof Brad Dell will direct the Repertory Theater of Iowa’s production of Thornton Wilder’s “Our Town,” which will have eight performances through Feb. 23.
Brad reports that Ethan Peterson, ISU senior in performing arts, plays the lead role of George Gibbs. Also, Brandon Brockshus, a performing arts graduate, plays Howie Newsome and Kerry Skram, an English alumna, plays Mrs. Gibbs. Kelly Schaefer, lecturer in theatre, designed the costumes.
The drama is on stage at the Des Moines Social Club’s new location at 900 Mulberry Street, the historic downtown Firehouse that has been renovated. See the Repertory Theater of Iowa website for ticket information.
