You’re invited: Troxel Hall dedication 3 p.m. Friday

Everyone is invited to the Troxel Hall dedication ceremony, 3 p.m. Friday, Aug. 30, at the state-of-the-art lecture hall north of Farm House. A short program will include ISU leaders and members of the Troxel family.

Troxel Hall, a state-of-the-art lecture hall, opened for students this week.

The Change Happens Foundation provided the lead gift for Troxel Hall. The building is named for Douglas D. Troxel, a 1967 ISU alumnus, president and chief executive officer of the private family foundation.

Troxel Hall opened its doors for students this week. It features new technologies and an innovative design for modern large-class instruction. The building also incorporates the latest innovations in architectural sustainability to reduce its carbon footprint, earning it LEED gold certification.

The building is a university classroom, however, chemistry and other College of Liberal Arts and Sciences courses, are the current primary users of the 400-seat auditorium.
